Almost everyone’s heard of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360’s penchant for hardcore games and amazing graphics capabilities. That leaves most thinking, “What sets the Nintendo Wii apart?”
Well, a lot of things make the Nintendo Wii different (To those familiar with the gaming console, “different” would be an understatement). The units on our penny auction system come with some very unique features, a few of them listed below:
Instead of the ubiquitous game pad, the Wii takes a different path, using a device that looks a lot like a TV remote.
It’s the smallest and lightest of the three gaming systems. Measuring at 44.45 x 158.75 x 215.9mm, it’s roughly the same size as three DVD cases.
The Wii’s biggest edge (if you can call it that) is Wii Sports, an addictive sports game that showcases the Wii’s capabilities without spending money on additional games. Players can use the gaming system’s wireless controller as different sporting equipment, letting users “pretend” they’re playing baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, and boxing. Wii Sports is often packaged along with the console itself, but this depends on the retailer you’re purchasing it from.
While technically not a feature per se, it’s still worth mentioning that the Nintendo Wii is the cheapest of the big three gaming consoles. This makes it a great addition to non heavy gaming families looking for a fun new activiy without having to shell out that much cash.
Bottom line, the Ninendo Wii boasts of innovative controls and fun gameplay that make for a genuinely entertaining experience the whole family will enjoy. While it may not have the same game library that makes the 360 and PS3 popular today, its relatively affordable price is friendly for non-enthusiasts. The Nintendo Wii is a gaming system every home around the world should have.
For Macintosh users, it’s a no-brainer to say that the iMac has just gotten better inside and out (did you expect anything lesser from Apple?). To start with, no one can deny the beauty of the huge 24 inch high definition display that is naturally eye catching as it is. The new and highly recyclable aluminum casing it sports does a great job of bringing out its sleek overall feel and look. All these make the new Apple iMac computer 24 one head turner of a desktop computer and we’re not even starting just yet.
A closer look at the physical attributes of the new Apple desktop and you are bound to find out that there are literally no screws anywhere on sight other than the near the place where you can access the memory card slots. This is due to the fact that Apple has taken aesthetics yet another step forward by making the Apple iMac computer 24’s housing from a single aluminum sheet. By the time you get acquainted to the seamless exterior of this new Apple desktop, you’ll also figure out that it has gotten slimmer compared to its predecessor.
Going a little deeper and you’ll find for yourself that this iMac now comes with a more powerful Core 2 Duo processor with the units that we have been auctioning in our penny auction donning a delightful 2.6 Ghz clock speed with a front side bus and an L2 cache of 1066 MHz and 6mb respectively which translates into a highly capable desktop for anybody’s standards. Let’s not forget that these Apple iMac computer’s are now equipped with 4 GB of RAM and Nvidia’s Geforece 9400M integrated graphics accelerator for your 3d rendering and multimedia needs.
Regardless if you are an avid Mac user or someone trying to make the switch, these Apple iMac computer 24’s are truly something to behold and use.
Sony’s highly popular gaming-and-multimedia-machine rolled into one, the Sony Playstation 3 console has just gotten a retouch especially for its fall re-release. This time around, the gaming console / Blue-ray player / whatever else that you might need from it – from WiFi web surfing, social networking through Sony’s “PlayStation Home”, or maybe you just want to listen to your favorite tunes or browse through your photos – has gotten a slimmer form factor and a sleeker matte finish.
Among the horde of capabilities under the hood of the Sony Playstation 3 console that we have been featuring non-stop on our penny auction system, the most prominent change will have to be the increase in its storage capacity from the former 80GB, to the now 120GB hard drive. That’s roughly equivalent to around 50% more space for games, videos, images, and what have you.
In terms of aesthetics, this Sony Playstation 3 console 120 GB version has departed from its predecessor’s finger print magnet of glossy black finish and its now proudly wearing a sleeker black matte exterior finish. Relatively smoother angles it features too. With these on hand, this version is now a lot more resistant to fingerprints, unless of course your hands are literally soaked with oil. Overall, the Sony PlayStation 120GB is still feels as solid as it used to be which is always a good thing.
For those lucky winners of our many HDTVs, a Sony Playstation 3 console should be the best complement to better maximize their high definition capabilities. Better yet, you can always play Metal Gear Solid 4 and forget about any other worries the world has to offer.
Let’s face it, there are just a lot of times that your regular point and shoot camera messed up a good once in a lifetime moment and the prices of digital SLR cameras are just way too tempting not to consider them on your next camera purchase. The problem is, when the time does come, many of you just can’t get pass all the jargon that goes beyond the normal mega pixel number that you have grown accustom to in deciding a camera purchase. Luckily, Nikon saw this clearly and they have kept this in mind in making the Nikon D60.
The Nikon D60 has everything a point and shoot camera user needs and that’s to say the least thanks to its ultra capable “AUTO” function which basically removes all the technicalities and jargons that you would need to get acquainted to otherwise. And when the time comes – and believe me, it will come – that you want to go beyond the magical “AUTO” function, you will be more than happy to find out that your simple yet highly capable Nikon D60 has more than enough functions for you to start a graphical novel about.
So, for the coming Halloween, why not try your wits on getting a hold of the many Nikon D60s that we have been giving away in our respectable penny auction site? Who knows? You could be one of the many smart bidders who are happily leaving their handy but ill-equipped digital cameras in favor of their newly acquired Nikon D60s.
