Sony Bravia M-Series 26-Inch HDTV, a Testament to Sony’s Excellence

Sony Bravia M-Series 26-Inch HDTV on BidsTick.com

Sony Bravia M-Series 26-Inch HDTV on BidsTick.com

When thinking of HDTV’s one of the brands that first comes to most people’s minds is Sony. Our penny auction system’s Sony Bravia M-Series 26-Inch HDTV is a testament to the company’s expert workmanship, ingenuity and dedication in providing quality products to their consumers.

The M-Series separates itself from the crowd of glossy black HDTV’s by sporting attractive accents and organically rounded-off-corners. It also comes with an inset panel with a perforated speaker grille along the bottom, and a subtle matte black ring bordering the entire frame.

If you’re afraid of messing up your HDTV by accidentally modifying its hard-to-understand settings, then the Sony Bravia M-Series 26-Inch HDTV is for you. As always, Sony excels at giving customers an easy experience with their simple-to-use menu system. This includes a “mini menu” that is comprised of a few often forgotten but vital functions like aspect ratio, closed caption and input selection.

The Sony Bravia M-Series’ remote controller is efficient and user friendly, coming in at the right size with the perfect set of buttons any user can easily distinguish by feel in a matter of minutes.

Like all entry level flat TV’s, the Sony Bravia has a native resolution of 1,366×768. Setting up and calibrating the Bravia is pretty easy thanks to the lack of advanced controls – perfect for first time HDTV purchasers. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t tweak and adjust the TV’s settings according to your preference.

The bottom line is that the Sony Bravia M-Series 26-Inch HDTV boasts of great sound and great picture quality. It’s a perfect choice for those looking to slowly start up a home entertainment system as well as individuals looking to boost their gaming experience.

The Apple MacBook Pro, Elegance and Top Performance Combined

Apple MacBook Pro on BidsTick.com

Apple MacBook Pro on BidsTick.com

Although the 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro may look the same on the outside as older models, it now comes with significant upgrades and changes.

Inside the sleek aluminum case is Intel’s 2.4GHz mobile Core 2 Duo CPU, an upgrade that makes this machine capable of holding up against the horde of Windows Vista notebooks. You also get a new LED-backlit display on this 15-inch model, more power-efficient than the traditional LCD display, which makes for a longer battery life.

As always, Apple excels at aesthetics. Its minimalist design—a power button, a full-sized keyboard, stereo speakers, a touch pad with a single mouse button, and a built-in iSight camera—which is a staple of Apple’s, sets it apart from other notebooks in the market. In addition, the MacBook Pro’s thin aluminum chassis gives it a classy and streamlined look while making it lighter and easier to lug around when you’re on the go.

The MacBook Pro excels at benchmark tests thanks to its 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor. Also contributing to the machine’s performance is the built-in NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT. This allows users to crush middle to even high level games at high resolutions. Performance-wise, you’re pretty safe with the MacBook Pro.

Of course, a review on the Apple MacBook Pro would not be complete without at least mentioning the software that comes with the machine. Apple’s OS X is touted by some as light years ahead of Vista (Yes, I know, I know, this can be an exaggeration). The software is bundled with unique programs that are handy and pretty easy to use.

It’s pretty amazing how Apple’s stuffed all these features into such a slim case. The MacBook Pro’s design and craftsmanship is definitely first class. The machine’s performance is also in top shape. If this notebook tickles your fancy, then head down to our penny auction system and start bidding!

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle, an Awesome Deal for an Even More Awesome Gaming Machine

Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle on BidsTick.com

In 2005, the first Xbox 360 hit the market, one that was itching to get their hands on the next generation of gaming consoles.

Over the years, the gaming system (like all others) has had its own share of ups and downs. Those who have purchased the machine most likely know of the dreaded ring “red ring of death”, an error that essentially “bricks” the machine or in other words, renders the consoles useless. Tough luck for those who shelled out close to US$300 to purchase one right? Fortunately, Microsoft gave its warranty a three-year extension for every Xbox 360 console that experienced this “general hardware error”.

The good news is that the console our penny auction system has to offer is one of the machines produced at a much later time. Units made in 2007 or later have been shown to be more stable than their predecessors.

Make no mistake about it; the Xbox 360 is a great gaming machine. Some titles that are exclusive to the system are regarded as a notch above the offerings of other consoles. In addition, Xbox Live, which was a massive success for the old Xbox is now full integrated into the Dashboard, offering users the capability of creating comprehensive friend lists, as well as the ability to communicate with them via voice, text, or video chat.

Up for grabs on our penny auction system is the Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle. In the box, you get the Xbox core system, one composite cable, one controller, and a few arcade style games that depend on your retailer. With 512 mb of storage space, this bundle is an awesome deal for casual gamers and the unlucky few who have yet to try out the system. With that said, grab it now and get your bid on!

The Nintendo Wii, A Must Have For Every Fun Loving Family

Nintendo Wii on BidsTick.com

Nintendo Wii on BidsTick.com

Almost everyone’s heard of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360’s penchant for hardcore games and amazing graphics capabilities. That leaves most thinking, “What sets the Nintendo Wii apart?”

Well, a lot of things make the Wii different (To those familiar with the gaming console, “different” would be an understatement). The units on our penny auction system come with some very unique features, a few of them listed below:

  1. Instead of the ubiquitous game pad, the Wii takes a different path, using a device that looks a lot like a TV remote.
  2. It’s the smallest and lightest of the three gaming systems. Measuring at 44.45 x 158.75 x 215.9mm, it’s roughly the same size as three DVD cases.
  3. The Wii’s biggest edge (if you can call it that) is Wii Sports, an addictive sports game that showcases the Wii’s capabilities without spending money on additional games. Players can use the gaming system’s wireless controller as different sporting equipment, letting users “pretend” they’re playing baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, and boxing. Wii Sports is often packaged along with the console itself, but this depends on the retailer you’re purchasing it from.
  4. While technically not a feature per se, it’s still worth mentioning that the Wii is the cheapest of the big three gaming consoles.  This makes it a great addition to non heavy gaming families looking for a fun new activiy without having to shell out that much cash.

Bottom line, the Wii boasts of innovative controls and fun gameplay that make for a genuinely entertaining experience the whole family will enjoy. While it may not have the same game library that makes the 360 and PS3 popular today, its relatively affordable price is friendly for non-enthusiasts. The Nintendo Wii is a gaming system every home around the world should have.
